Apizza Scholls

For the latter half of our brief visit to Portland, I wanted to make sure we got a worthy send-off before heading back north.  Prior to our trip, I had hunted for something that would leave us truly satisfied.  The verdict: Apizza Scholls—one of the best pizzerias in Portland.  For Portlanders or anyone who watches No Reservations, this is nothing new.  I’m just the guy non-ironically using the gray brick cell phone.

Brunch Box: The YouCanHasCheeseburger

My girlfriend is new to the Northwest and has never been to Portland before, so for a combined birthday gift we decided to take a road trip.  My Northwest rivalry will never grow out of me but I can’t help but respect the food scene in Portland.   In addition to its many nationally-renowned brick-and-mortar restaurants, Portland has over 600 food carts (some say it’s more like 400 legitimate food carts) and was named the city with the World’s Best Street Food by U.S. News.  With so many options to choose from, where does one start in this labyrinth of gastronomic pleasure?
